Gabriela Mendoza
Gabriela is an illustrator who focuses on fantasy art and ancient cultures, specifically that of the Mayans.
She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Illustration and Animation from Coventry University in 2023.
Her cultural identity as a Salvadoran whose family moved to Spain when she was a child has inspired her interest in Mayan history, art and aesthetics.
Gabriela was an assistant at Deptford X 2023 and subsequently participated in the Boundless: Transitions Project by A-Maze Artists Collective as a workshop leader & panellist, when their exhibition took place in October 2023 at A.P.T Gallery in Deptford. Since then she has been an intern for the Collective assisting with research, evaluation and feedback.
